About
the Founder

Hi, I’m Drew — the founder and creator of Monarch’s Roost.

Many years ago, a friend suggested a quick trip to a little mountain town called Helen, Georgia. The moment I arrived, I was captivated by the charm of the Bavarian village, the friendliness of the people, and the way nature surrounded every part of it. There was a peace here, a sense of calm and connection that I hadn’t felt anywhere else.

From that very first visit, I knew I wanted to create something extraordinary — a place where others could feel that same grounding energy and sense of wonder. A space where you can rest your mind, reconnect with nature, and experience the kind of stillness that lingers long after you’ve gone home.

As someone obsessed with travel, I’ve always sought destinations that blend authentic local culture with world-class comfort — the kind of experience you find in the most luxurious lodges and boutique hotels across the globe. When designing Monarch’s Roost, I wanted to bring that same standard of excellence to a cabin experience — one that reflects the warmth and soul of the mountains while offering refined details, serene design, and restorative experiences for the mind and body.

Every choice — from the natural wood textures to the spa-inspired sauna, the fire pit beneath the stars, and the cozy nooks for gathering — was made to create moments that feel both intimate and unforgettable. My hope is that Monarch’s Roost becomes not just a stay, but a tradition — a place where families and friends return year after year to rest, reconnect, and remember what truly matters.

Because at its heart, Monarch’s Roost is about transformation — just like the Monarch butterfly that inspired its name — a reminder that luxury and nature can coexist beautifully, and that the most meaningful journeys often bring us right back home.
